FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do we have to come to your location?

No, both laser clay entertainment systems are transportable so that we can attend your desired venue. We have travelled all over the UK and beyond, and no location is too far.

Q: What size area do you need?

The outside system requires an area, preferably grassed, of about 50m x 20m to fly the clays. The indoor Smart Target system only requires a relatively small area, a distance of about 7m from the targets is about the minimum.

Q: Do you need a power supply?

No, the scoreboard and automatic clay trap have their own power supply as do the guns.

Q: How old do you need to be to use the guns?

There is no age limit; if you can hold the guns safely, you can have a go.

Q: Is there any recoil with the guns?

No, the beauty of the system is you get all the bangs and excitement of the sport but no bruises!

Q: Do I need a shotgun license?

No, whilst they started life as shotguns, they are now full of wire and batteries and do not require a license.

Q: What’s the maximum number of people who can use it?

Unlike normal clay pigeon shooting where only one person can shoot at any one time, five people shoot at the same time so more can go through quickly, which avoids long waits for a go. There is no maximum number of people.

Q: What happens if the weather is wet?

The system can still be used in wet weather. There is a 6m x 3m three-sided marque that shooters can stand under and avoid any rain. If the weather is terrible, the indoor system can be put in place if the premises are suitable. If it is not possible to use either system, then an alternative date or refund would be considered.

Q: Do the clays break and make a mess?

No, the guns emit a light beam which is reflected by the modified clay pigeons that are registered by the gun and scoreboard. The clays land and are collected so it is environmentally friendly and clean.

Q: Are you insured/ risk assessed?

Yes, we have full insurance and a risk assessment which can be forwarded to venues upon request.

Hi Steve, just a few words to thank you for our laserclay experience " we were a family party of 10 adults ranging from 23 to 81 years old, plus two children 6 and 2, so we wanted a fun activity which everyone could participate in. And in threw up a few surprises in terms of which members of the family were the hotshots ! Steve and his team were very good at explaining what to do, and then giving us guidance as the session carried on. We were given plenty practice time before the scoring session began; and then we used 3 different "games" with different scoring in the competitive part. What was good with laser clay is that 5 of you shoot at the same time at the one clay, so each person has far more goes than with actual clay shooting. And the instantaneous digital scoring board gave immediate results of each shot, which of itself was a bit of fun seeing who was doing well. I would highly recommend this activity for groups of friends and family, or indeed corporate events or even weddings. you do not need any prior experience, and because the gun has no kick-back, no one needs to be afraid of using it; and for those who like to hear the sound of a clay being hit, the system gives an audio effect. The two children could not of course participate with the grown ups, but they were allowed with the help of an adult to have a go, and the two year old has been telling everyone that "I did do shooting". Some friends of one of the party are now themselves interested in renting the same cottage, and it was the activities like the laser clay and archery which are the particular attraction " regards Haydn Cooper-Smith
